CO-OPERATIONS – KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER FOR RESPONSIBLE RESEARCH
At the ETHIANUM, we stand for responsible medical research. In order to fulfil this responsibility, an exchange with international scientists is essential. After all, science thrives on the exchange between renowned scientists, institutions and laboratories worldwide.
The ETHIANUM Clinic’s location in Heidelberg, the medical capital of Germany, facilitates collaboration and co-operation with numerous renowned local institutes. These include the German Cancer Research Centre (DKFZ), diabetes research, research into internal medicine, the Skin Tumour Centre and the Gynaecology Department at Heidelberg University. Our collaboration and cooperation with the University of Heidelberg and the University Hospital is particularly intensive.
However, we also maintain numerous international collaborations in the field of research. Our clinic founder Prof Dr Germann maintains collaborations with the Mayo Clinic Education & Research and the DUKE Medical School, among others. These two contacts focus on staff exchanges and teaching activities as a visiting professor.
Making knowledge, experience and expertise transparently available to other researchers worldwide and working together on cutting-edge medicine and the latest treatment methods are at the forefront of all collaborations.
