Plastic & Aesthetic Surgery with an Eye for Detail

Dr. Nikolai Kuz is a board-certified specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery and part of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery team at ETHIANUM. In April 2021, he transferred as a resident from BG Unfallklinik Frankfurt am Main to the Heidelberg private clinic to complete his specialist training under renowned experts in Aesthetic Surgery: Prof. Dr. Günter Germann, Prof. Dr. Holger Engel and Prof. Dr. Matthias Reichenberger.

In June of this year, he received his board certification and is now available to patients at ETHIANUM as a board-certified specialist in Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery.

Dr Kuz offers the entire range of plastic and aesthetic surgery, with a particular preference for body contouring procedures – and he has a very special history …

Even as a child, Niko, as he is known to family and friends, showed signs of his current profession, drawing bodies with great passion and dedication – in pencil. He rediscovered this talent as a student and thus gave expression to his enjoyment of the subject of anatomy on paper. He became acquainted with aesthetic surgery via general and reconstructive surgery and then ended up in aesthetic surgery.

And he has retained his love of drawing in his everyday practice to this day. He uses his patients’ drawings to compare the status quo with the imaginable ideal and has thus sharpened his eye for what is feasible.

Dr Kuz is a kind of sculptor among aesthetic surgeons; he tries to recognise the possible contours of a lift or liposuction. Here – as in the drawings – he demonstrates his penchant for perfect aesthetics.

In his spare time, Nikolai Kuz has another great passion, triathlon, and regularly takes part in Ironman competitions. He is therefore also extremely physically fit and, as he says, this gives him the strength he needs for his strenuous day-to-day work.

Whenever he can, he travels to Spain, where he already spent some time during his studies.
