HYGIENE CONCEPT – FAR-REACHING MEASURES FOR MORE SAFETY
The ETHIANUM Clinic has had a sophisticated hygiene concept since it opened in 2010. Responsible for the hygiene measures is Priv.-Doz. Dr Eva Köllensperger is responsible for the hygiene measures. She develops, prescribes and monitors the in-house hygiene concept. As a doctor in charge of hygiene, Priv.-Doz. Dr Köllensperger makes regular arrangements with all those involved. She also maintains an intensive dialogue on the latest findings with the Department of Hygiene at Heidelberg University.
And with great success. Since the opening, there has not been a single outbreak of infection or transmission of hospital germs at the ETHIANUM Clinic. Unfortunately, this is a major problem in some places. This is because so-called hospital germs are multi-resistant pathogens that sometimes cause protracted and life-threatening symptoms for those affected. The ETHIANUM Clinic’s hygiene concept also proved successful during the coronavirus pandemic from the beginning of 2020. Even during this pandemic, there were no cases of coronavirus infection at our clinic. Neither among our clients nor among the medical specialists and staff.
Priv.-Doz. Dr Eva Köllensperger also ensured that our clinic’s hygiene concept met the specifications and requirements. Her rightly strict regiment on compliance with the coronavirus measures ultimately benefited the health of all clients and staff at the clinic. And yet the specialist is particularly keen to thank everyone involved for their commitment during the pandemic. Because together we are committed to ensuring the highest possible level of safety for everyone at the ETHIANUM Clinic.
