Dr. med. Florian Heimlich

Specialist in Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine, Allergology, Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture

Dr. med. Florian Heimlich is a specialist in ear, nose and throat medicine and allergology. He also holds additional qualifications in naturopathic medicine and acupuncture. He completed his medical studies at Heidelberg University and at the University of Natal in Durban, South Africa. After passing the German medical state examination, he completed his doctorate at Heidelberg University in 1997.

His specialist training led Dr. Heimlich to the Department of Ear, Nose and Throat Medicine at Heidelberg University Hospital and to the sleep laboratory of the University Thoracic Hospital Heidelberg. In addition, he acquired qualifications in laser surgery, travel and tropical medicine, quality assurance in healthcare, digital volume tomography, as well as audiology and neurootology.

Dr. Florian Heimlich has been working in private practice since 2004, and since 2007 together with Dr. Angelika Witzel-Heimlich. Together, they head the sleep laboratory at ETHIANUM Klinik Heidelberg. There, sleep disorders, snoring and sleep-related breathing disorders such as sleep apnoea are diagnosed and treated.

In his work, Dr. Heimlich combines sound ENT and allergological diagnostics with a holistic view of his patients. He places particular emphasis on careful examination, clear consultation and individually tailored treatment concepts.
